Loaded Dervish Sama Circles:

De Loaded Dervish is het ultieme free-ride board en geschikt voor verschillende doelstellingen.

Omdat de onderstellen door de plank gemonteerd zijn (drop-through, DT) is het board lager bij de grond en creeërt hierdoor een langere afzet, meer energie word omgezet in snelheid en het is minder vermoeiend om de snelheid te behouden. Het board is hierdoor o.a. geschikt voor afstanden en als vervoersmiddel.

Naast dat de Dervish DT is heeft de Loaded Dervish ook veel flex, wat het mogelijk maakt om te pompen en carven.

Afhankelijk van het gewicht van de persoon die gebruik maakt van het board word er gekeken naar welke flex daar het meest geschikt voor is.

Ook is het board symetrisch en heeft hierdoor geen voor -of achterkant, pak je board, spring erop en rij direct weg!

Het board is 109 centimeter lang, 22,9 centimeter breed, heeft een wielbasis van 80 centimeter en weegt (alleen het deck) 1.4KG tot 1.6KG.

Van de Loaded Dervish bestaan er drie flex varianten: Flex1 - 75 t/m 114KG, Flex2 - 45 t/m 84KG en Flex3 - 35 t/m 68KG.

Standaard word de Loaded Dervish gemonteerd met Paris V3 180mm Trucks, Loaded Jehu Lagers of Bear Spaceballs en Orangatang Moronga 72,5mm.

Continuing our exploration in color theory and geometry, we looked deeper into Bauhaus principles to create this homage to the circle. By exposing multiple forms over one another, we were able to exemplify the arcing and flowing movements possible on this carving board and honor the whirling and spiritual experience debuted by its namesake. In 2007, the Dervish was our first venture into dropthrough construction and an opportunity to create a flexy, bamboo composite carver with the versatility to handle a variety of riding styles. Five years later, weve revisited this flagship board with new performance aspirations in mind.

With a slightly wider platform than its predecessor, the Dervish Sama balances comfort, edge control, and responsiveness. Combined with a more pronounced concave profile, the extra width enhances turn initiation and slide control. We added subtle nose and tail kicks to increase pop and lock your feet in for freestyle tricks. The neck and dropthrough cutout were also updated for increased durability under hard riding. A six-piece griptape pattern provides enhanced control at the kicks and facilitates comfortable footwork maneuvers on the standing platform without interfering with the boards flex pattern.

Sama is the Sufi ceremony focusing on active meditation as a tool for the individual's spiritual journey. The origin of this practice is credited to Rumi, a poet and founder of the Mevlevi order of whirling dervishes. Through Sama, the individual aims to ascend from the confines of thought to attain heightened maturity, perfection, and closeness to God.
